summertime sadness

There's like 8,000 pictures in this post woohooooooo. This is the best outfit to wear if you want to walk out of your house wearing pajamas, but still look cute. That doesn't seem to make much sense but if feels like you're wearing pajamas. Although the shorts are tight, you could wear looser fitting shorts if you would like. Pairing an oversized flannel with any type of t-shirt, in my case cropped and cut, can be the comfiest thing in the world and you don't have to look sloppy. Red and blue flannel go with about anything and they are very easy to find, at many stores flannel shirts tend to be around $40 or more. They look cute, but do you REALLY want to spend that much money on a shirt? Yeah you will probably get your money's worth out of it, so go ahead and splurge but an even better way to find a cute and oversized flannel is at a thrift store. Most thrift stores carry tons of flannel shirts, all year round. You just have to dig during the spring and summer :) These shirts are usually priced at most $9, much better than $40 right? Thrifting is always a great thing. For t-shirt, it doesn't have to be cut or cropped, you can just tuck it into your shorts/pants, or just leave it. If you want a cut and cropped one like mind but don't want to go out to the mall and look for hours, you can go to your local craft store (Michael's Arts&Crafts is near where I live) and buy any color t-shirt. Most craft stores sell them for at most $5. If you want it cropped or the sleeves cut off, you can always DIY it. It is extremely easy and if you want to learn how to do it, you can YouTube it, there are plenty of videos. I actually bought mine cropped and cut already, but it was only $2.95 so why on earth would I not buy it?! High waisted shorts in most stores can be very expensive, many are around $60. I got mine for $5.99 at Good Will. It is fairly easy to cut jeans into shorts, if you want to learn, again just YouTube it there are a large variety of videos on how to make all different kinds of shorts. If you really want to know about my socks I got them from Claire's in a pack of five with all of the other boys' names on them if you know what I'm talking about. Yes I'm wearing socks that say "L<3VE LOUIS". Yes I am a fan of One Direction. Yes you don't care. I can never go the cheap way for shoes, those are the items I am always open to spend my money on. To me shoes are very different from clothes. I would prefer not to buy shoes from a thrift store because you never know who's feet those were on. I don't mean spend thousands on shoes but going to Target over Good Will for shoes is definitely the better choice. Converse are some of my favorite shoes and I spend my money on them because I know I will get a good wear out of them. However, knock off shoes from Target or any other stores are great too, you'll be surprised what cute shoes they have at places you never expected. I also have an obsession with high socks or ruffle socks with any shoes. I have been wearing my hair up in a bun like this quite often lately because it's extremely easy. It looks cute and you don't have to worry about doing your hair. It's basically a twist bun where you twist your hair then wrap it and secure it with a hair binder. Don't even listen to what I just said I can't explain anything correctly without making it sound much more complicated than it really is. This hair style goes along perfectly with the lazy yet cute look this outfit provides. I think this outfit is perfect for any fall, spring, or cool summer day (or winter depending on wear you live). It's also perfect for summer nights.

rosy bubblegum

Before I start can I just say this outfit was surprisingly comfortable. I wore this outfit to Valleyfair (an amusement park where I live) and my shorts were very comfortable in all of the rides surprisingly. I love this shirt because it's 95% polyester and 5% spandex so I didn't get too hot and sweat wouldn't show. Because of the fabric, it's stretchy so it fits my body how I want it. But, just because something is stretchy does NOT mean that you should get it in the smallest size possible. It can be unflattering and uncomfortable. It may make you feel better when you buy an extra small but you're really a medium but trust me, if anything the bigger size will compliment you much better and it will be way less constricting. If you struggle to decide whether to buy a small or extra small because they both fit differently, and say you're usually and extra small. I would go with whatever looks best, but in my opinion I would buy the small (which is what I did) just to be safe and it turned out to be perfect. My sunglasses that I am wearing are very....weird. Then again I'm weird and I like weird things. I got these for 20% off at Ragstock and I felt like a queen because I saved so much money on such an awesome pair of shades, they turned out to only be about $2. If you're going somewhere at night and want to wear an outfit like this, or it isn't the hottest outside, you can pair it with a long baggy cardigan. It doesn't matter what color you choose for your cardigan but I prefer white because it usually goes with everything. Baggy cardigans go great with outfits like this because it evens it all out. You don't look too sloppy because your top and shorts are tight but you also don't look to put together because of the baggy cardigan/sweater. You can definitely wear outfits like this anywhere, in fact I do. Something I absolutely love to pair with these outfits, or basically anything nowadays, are frilly socks and converse. I'm obsessed with them and I'm not quite sure why but I find them very cute together.
